Round-table Discussion for Scholars, Teachers and Public Figures E-mail

On September 29th round-table discussion session Studying the history of World War II and the Holocaust in the Conditions of Current War against Ukraine took place within the Final of the XI Creative Works Contest. Guests of the exhibition Dictatorship and Dr. Detlef Voltaire, Consul General of Germany in Donetsk; Refat Chubarov, the Head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis; representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, Ukrainian and foreign scholars, teachers and methodologists as well as mass media representatives took part in the discussion.
Nowadays the profession of the history teacher becomes more relevant than ever and the round-table discussion participants noted that the great responsibility is laid on the history teacher. Why do the events of the World War II have something in common with the current situation in Ukraine, how not to stir the old myths on the history of the World War II and not to create the new ones on the events at the East of Ukraine, what is needed to be changed in the school program and manuals these and many other issues were discusses by the participants.
The main thing is that everyone could express his or her own opinion and to get answers to the questions from the competent representatives of the scientific and educational community.
